Eli Cohen wins Likud Primary as final slate formed ahead of Israeli elections
Prime Minister Netanyahu expressed satisfaction with the outcome, stating that the new list represents renewal and positions the party to secure a broad national government
Energy Minister Eli Cohen has secured the top slot on the Likud party list following the conclusion of vote counting in the primary elections, placing him directly behind Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana finished in second place among primary candidates, positioning him ahead of Justice Minister Yariv Levin and Transport Minister Miri Regev. The vote determines the placement of candidates on the party's roster for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Among the highest-ranked candidates on the national list are Ofir Katz, Yoav Kisch, Miki Zohar, Almog Cohen, and Amichai Chikli.
MK Tally Gotliv secured the 20th position on the slate.
The primary results, combined with reserved spots allocated to party leadership, establish the electoral slate as follows:

Prime Minister and Likud Chairman Netanyahu expressed strong satisfaction following the conclusion of the party’s primary elections, praising Likud members for casting their ballots based on genuine conviction rather than backroom political deals.
Welcoming the newly formed candidate roster, Netanyahu said the updated slate reflects a healthy dynamic of renewal and the integration of fresh political talent at the top. Coupled with his designated appointments to reserved spots on the list, the Prime Minister framed the final candidate lineup as a powerful team fully equipped to secure a decisive victory in the upcoming national elections and immediately establish a broad national government.
In his statement following the election results, Netanyahu stressed that forging a united and formidable Likud team is essential to block the formation of a rival left-wing government coalition involving Gadi Eisenkot, Yair Golan, Avigdor Liberman, and Arab political parties.
The Likud leader extended his appreciation to candidates who ultimately missed out on realistic spots on the slate, acknowledging their dedicated contributions and emphasizing his intention to actively involve them in the party’s broader campaign efforts to secure a victory at the polls.
