Yossi Cohen, whose son Amit was killed at the Nova festival on October 7, allegedly threatened Eisenkot and his wife while mocking the death of their son Gal in Gaza.

Yashar announced that it had filed a police complaint after Cohen threatened Eisenkot's life and mocked his son Gal, who was killed in action in Gaza in December 2023.
"You murdered your own son," Cohen shouted outside Eisenkot's home, "You won't live; you’ll end up beside your son."
Cohen is also alleged to have threatened the lives of Eisenkot and his wife, Hanna.
Cohen lost his son Amit on October 7 at the Nova music festival and has since campaigned with the “Din veTzedek” forum to push for Knesset-appointed investigation into October 7, rather than a Supreme Court-appointed investigation which is supported by the Hostages and Missing Families Forum.
Yashar said it shared Cohen's grief, but "no amount of pain—no matter how profound—grants anyone license to issue death threats, incite violence, or exploit another family’s bereavement to cause them harm."
The party called the statements "the destructive consequence of the political culture that has taken root during the Netanyahu era—a culture in which hatred and division have become a method of governance, and red lines have been erased in the name of political survival."
