UAE suspends all trade with Iran after yesterday's missile attack | LIVE BLOG

Israel officially acknowledged launching eight airstrikes against the runway and storage facilities at the Abu al-Duhur airbase in Syria’s Idlib province. The Prime Minister’s Office stated the strikes were executed to prevent a planned deployment of Turkish forces to the base, warning that such a move breached a security status quo and posed a direct threat to Israel. Both Syria and Turkey strongly condemned the attack as an unlawful act of aggression violating Syrian sovereignty, while the US expressed sharp disapproval.
The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defence reported that its air defense systems detected two ballistic missiles launched from Iran toward Emirati territory yesterdat, triggering brief emergency public safety alerts for residents. According to UAE officials, one missile landed just outside its territorial waters while the second fell within them. Iran’s Foreign Ministry categorically denied the allegations. UAE suspends all trade and financial transactions with Iran
The UAE Foreign Ministry announced the suspension of all trade, commercial exchanges and financial transactions with Iran until further notice.
The ministry said the decision was taken “in light of a regional escalation that harms regional and international peace and security.”

Iran denies UAE missile claim, warns against ‘baseless’ accusations
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei denied the UAE’s claim that Tehran had launched two ballistic missiles at the country, warning against what he called “baseless” accusations.
Baqaei said such claims contradict the principle of good neighborliness and risk undermining efforts to build regional trust and prevent further escalation.
