Day 703 of the Israel-Hamas war

Trump suggested to the media that a comprehensive hostage deal could come soon from his most recent proposal, adding that there could be several bodies as the hostages "tend to die," after issuing his "last warning" to Hamas.

"The Israelis have accepted my Terms. It is time for Hamas to accept as well," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "I have warned Hamas about the consequences of not accepting. This is my last warning, there will not be another one!"

The deal would require Hamas to free the remaining 48 hostages on the first day in exchange for thousands of Palestinian prisoners jailed in Israel, and negotiate an end to the war during a ceasefire, according to Israeli media.

An Israeli official said Israel was "seriously considering" Trump's proposal.

According to the proposed plan, all hostages would be released on the first day of its implementation. In exchange, the Israeli military would cancel “Operation Gideon’s Tanks II” and halt its planned ground advance into Gaza City.

However, the proposal does not call for a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip or an outright end to the conflict.

Instead, negotiations would begin under the ceasefire to outline terms for a longer-term cessation of fighting and a post-war political framework.

Sources close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu say Israel is taking US President Donald Trump’s proposal “very seriously.” At the same time, they expect Hamas to resist the terms, citing its rejection of similar arrangements in past mediation efforts.

The initiative comes as Israel prepares to escalate operations in northern Gaza and as international pressure mounts for a diplomatic end to the ongoing war.

Gaza: IDF strikes strategic Hamas building in Gaza City

The Israeli army announced that it had struck a building used by Hamas in the Gaza City area. According to the statement, the building was used for terrorist activities, including planting explosives and installing surveillance equipment. The terrorists responsible were operating in the surrounding area to plan and carry out attacks against the IDF.

Prior to the attack, warnings were sent and precision munitions were used to limit civilian casualties. The army accuses Hamas of exploiting the civilian population and infrastructure as human shields. The IDF reaffirms its determination to continue its operations against terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip.
