Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu filed libel lawsuits regarding the allegations that he received forewarning of the October 7 attacks, Likud announced on Tuesday.
Netanyahu's suit responds to several allegations published in the last few weeks that he received warnings ahead of October 7, including from Egypt and the UAE.
Netanyahu claims that both the UAE and Egypt deny officially warning him or his staff in the lead-up to the attacks. Netanyahu attacked opposition parties for spreading the allegations.
"It is no coincidence that these lies are being spread now, on the eve of the election, by political rivals and hostile foreign actors."
This case joins a series of lawsuits filed during this election period, including suits filed by Yair Golan against Sara Netanyahu and by Ronen Bar against Netanyahu.
