As Israel’s legislative elections approach, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has urged his supporters to mobilize, framing the vote as a choice between his right-wing government and a rival coalition he accuses of backing Palestinian statehood.

“These elections are crucial for our future: it’s either the right or Palestine,” Netanyahu wrote in a Facebook post.

He claimed that a potential coalition led by Gadi Eisenkot would include Arab parties, Yair Golan, Avigdor Lieberman and Naftali Bennett.

Netanyahu also pointed to US President Donald Trump’s remaining time in office as an opportunity to advance his government’s priorities.

“We have two years left in my friend President Trump’s term, and this is precisely the time to accomplish our main tasks on all fronts,” he said.

The Likud leader said he had met supporters across the country and heard their desire for Israel to remain strong, secure and prosperous.

He urged them to translate that support into votes by encouraging friends and relatives to go to the polls.

“Every vote counts, and each of you can make a difference,” he said.

Netanyahu closed with a pledge to secure victory: “Together, we will achieve victory. For our children. For our future. For the State of Israel.”
