Horrific disaster caught on camera: Two helicopters collide on Everest
According to local authorities, a 47-year-old Indian man was killed. At least one man who was on his way to receive medical treatment was injured in the collision, which caused both aircraft to crash

Disaster at 4,200 meters: One person was killed, and two others were injured Tuesday when two helicopters collided and crashed on Mount Everest. The aircraft collided while attempting to land at a camp on the mountain and were apparently carrying trekkers on their way back during the popular trekking season.
In recent days, heavy snow covered the trekking route, but since Sunday the weather has improved, allowing thousands of hikers to return to the trail. Reuters reported that the two helicopters crashed near the village of Pheriche, located at an altitude of 4,200 meters.
A district official said the person killed was a 47-year-old Indian national.

In addition to the person killed, a passenger from New Zealand who was being transported from the mountain to Kathmandu for medical treatment was injured in the collision. The number of people on board the aircraft remains unclear.
The news of the crash follows another one out of the United States. Nine people were killed when a private jet crashed in Palm Beach, Florida, on Monday night. Footage from the scene shows the aircraft plunging rapidly to the ground and bursting into flames near a road crowded with cars. A huge crater was left in the road.
The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that nine people were on board. According to the statement, the plane took off from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas and was en route to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas. The circumstances of the crash are under investigation.
