Aviel Wahl, considered the number 2 in the Musli organization and a central target of the Tel Aviv District Police’s Major Crime Unit, was arrested Monday at his home on suspicion of throwing a grenade at the Japanika branch in Rosh Pina last July.

Wahl was arrested by Northern District police officers. Initially, he was taken to the Tel Aviv Central Unit offices, then from there he was transferred to the Crime Fighting Unit (YALP) of the Kinneret Subdistrict, which is conducting the investigation in the case.

Earlier today, the police announced that three suspects were arrested last night on suspicion of throwing a fragmentation grenade at the Japanika branch in Rosh Pina last July. The suspects were transferred for questioning to the Kinneret Subdistrict Crime Fighting Unit and brought before the Magistrate's Court in Kiryat Shmona, where the police requested to extend their detention. Vahal's detention was extended by eight days.

The arrest comes against the backdrop of what is known as the "grenade war," during which at least two grenades were thrown at Wahl's home in Herzliya.
